I can override the CID DID but not the name

I can override the CID DID but not the name. The name always comes through as the person who owns the number I enter. I want to change my name from William to Bill. Will someone please help me? Thank you in advance.

I am using TrixBox and Telasip. I have tried formats:
“Bill”<9876543210> and Bill<9876543210>

From what I understand the name that appears on the receiving end of the call is supplied by their telco company. You only supply the number for the lookup on their database.

so in other words to clarfiy, you need to contact your provider and ask them to change your caller id outgoing name.
