Can i use Asterisk instead of E1 to plug in other callcenter system

Depends on what the Aspect may support. If it supports standard SIP/H.323 than you may use VoIP to interconnect as opposed to TDM (E1/T1). But, really depends on what you are trying to achieve from a business/callflow perspective. More detail needed before real recommendations may be made.

Keep in mind, while VoIP sounds good, some of these vendors charge much more for a VoIP license than they do to throw in another TDM card…
