In the CHANGES file for 13.32.0 I noticed a new flag hide_messaging_ami_events, which is interesting for us.
Sadly commit b76ab5e5c9dc51f88a5ee5c101410124b8283cfe which actually implements the feature is not in 13 or 13.32 
Either the CHANGES are wrong, or the commit is not merged/cherry-picked into the 13 branch.
This was discussed on IRC but I’ll copy the result here so everyone is aware of what happened. The feature itself is not in 13. It appears as though the CHANGES entry was accidentally brought in when fixing some other CHANGES entries.
