# Help me in installing asterisk-1.4.4 on Redhat Linux 9

# make…

here is the error prompted:

The configure script must be executed before running ‘make’

how will i get through with this?

./configure  
make menuselect  
make  
make install  
make config  
make samples

Also note that Redhat 9 reached its end of life on April 30th of 2004. That means it hasn’t been supported for over 3 years. It is an absolutely terrible idea to try to use this for a new system.
