I am going to implement this technology at work. Currently we have 3 phone lines that go to an outdated Lucent phone system. What kind of hardware do I need (meaning the device between the analog phone lines and the network) should I use. I have looked at the Sipura 3000, but wouldn’t I need 3 of those. Are there other options? Our business is growing and I anticipate 5 lines someday soon, then 7 - 10 in the next 3 to 5 years. What kind of hardware should I get? Recommendations?
It all depends on your budget but I usually go with a PRI card for businesses. You have room for growth with a PRI and the added benefit of DIDs and less echo problems. You can usually get a T1 form a telco with 5 B channels to start of with, you can add B channels as you grow.
Thanks for the advice. I am trying to keep my budget low on the front side. Couldnt i use mulitple Sipura 3000s? or a Digium Wildcard TDM400P?
