I’m evaluating handsets for use with Asterisk, and I’m a bit confused about how the features map to Asterisk.
For instance, if a phone has support for 9 lines, what does that mean exactly? I would assume this means that you can have 9 lines mapped to this phone, but what does that mean with regard to multiple instance DID (ie multiple calls coming in on the same line)? Does that mean 9 “extensions”?
Also, Does anyone know of any 5.8Ghz SIP cordless phones? I’ve had trouble with 2.4Ghz phones interfering with 802.11g wireless, and would prefer something out of spectrum. I’m not really interested in an 802.11 wireless phone.
