Hi All,
I was wondering if the G729 codec “sold” by Digium is available for solaris 10 x86?
Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

G729 is not sold by digium for the solaris platform at this time.
Hi Matt,
Thanks for the reply. Do you know if Digium plan to release a solaris sparc/x86 version of the codec?
Thanks

Just an FYI, there are now unsupported G729 codecs for Solaris on Intel/AMD 32/64 bit at:
Just another update:
I have been trying to get this codec to load under Solaris for close on 3 months now, with no luck. The people on the mailing list have been helpfull, however no solution was found. I tried to log a call with Digium, but got the standard unsupported line back (expected that ). We have bought legit licenses from Digium for the testing of this codec and i have tried to follow the steps as outlined by the README file, to no avail.
My advice would be to look around for a different G729 codec that is able to load under asterisk, where the developers could give you a little more information, or try to build on yourself.
