I’m running Asterisk 1.4.1 on FreeBSD 6.2, and one of my SIP peers has very limited bandwidth, so we wanted to try using g729.
So far, I haven’t been able to find a g729 codec for this version of FreeBSD.
Does such an animal exist?
Thanks,

Hi All,
I am also about to Deploy a FreeBSD 6.2 server , with a Digium TE210P (dual PRI port), i am only going to use this for accepting voice from my VOIP providers and terminating it to local PSTN- a E1.
I am using a Asus P5B delux mother board, a dual core P4 processor , about 1gig of ddr 400 ram, Is this configuration ok for such installation.
Also if you guys have a HOW TO , on the above, based on bsd6.2, please let me know, i am really new to *, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance !!!
