Flashing RED/REC Sigal - Zap Show Status

Hi ,

I am having following details in my zaptel.conf file. I am getting flashing RED/REC indication while checking zap show status. Please advice.

span=1,1,0,esf,b8zs
span=2,1,0,esf,b8zs
bchan=1-23
dchan=24
bchan=25-47
dchan=48
loadzone = us
defaultzone=us

pbx*CLI> zap show status
Description Alarms IRQ bpviol CRC4
T2XXP (PCI) Card 0 Span 1 RED/REC 0 0 0
T2XXP (PCI) Card 0 Span 2 RED 0 0 0

pbx*CLI> zap show status
Description Alarms IRQ bpviol CRC4
T2XXP (PCI) Card 0 Span 1 REC 0 0 0
T2XXP (PCI) Card 0 Span 2 RED 0 0 0

Change:
span=2,1,0,esf,b8zs
to:
span=2,0,0,esf,b8zs

Reload the zaptel drivers and see if they come out of Red. If not, check your cable and make sure its a T1 cross-over.

Hi Angler,

I changed the parameters & still not working. I am using RJ-45 Straight cable to connect the T1 Line to T1 port. Am i doing something wrong here? What is the type of cable i need? What is mean by T1 Crossover? May i ask the pin configuration if possible? I will check on net also. Please suggest.

Thanks.

Hi Angler,

I zap show status got fixed after connecting a T1 Cross cable.

I am still getting below error while trying outgoing calls.

-- Executing Dial("SIP/2259-b7904ee8", "ZAP/g1/7323624101") in new stack

Dec 2 16:42:14 NOTICE[4526]: app_dial.c:1056 dial_exec_full: Unable to create channel of type ‘ZAP’ (cause 34 - Circuit/channel congestion)

== Spawn extension (internal, 7323624101, 2) exited non-zero on ‘SIP/2259-b7904ee8’

One more confusion is, do i need a CSU/DSU for the TE205P card? please anyone suggest.

thanks
