Hiya guys,
I’m new to linux, installed Redhat last week. I have fumbled my way through the install of Asterisk 1.2.17 using google and this forum. The problem i have is i cannot seem to find anyway to ‘run’ the asterisk application?!? 😊
Am i missing something??

Any pointers would be much apreciated…

Many thanks

Dave

the simplest way for you might be to run “make config” in your Asterisk source directory, then run “service asterisk start”. you’ll have a running Asterisk instance then (as long as you have conf files) and you can connect to it by running “asterisk -r”

not unless you install it, and even then it’s a remote GUI (unless you want X to kill your call quality)
