Today is the deadline that the FCC has laid down for those providing VoIP services to give their customers access to e911 emergency services. I’d like to begin reselling VoIP services, but I’m not even sure where to begin with compling with this regulation.
I have a conference call with Intrado tomorrow, however I got the impression that they’re more used to dealing with huge corporations who maintain their own, in-house VoIP equipment. And they want me to sign an NDA before they’ll talk pricing (wtf?). But they also seem to be the only game in town. 911etc.com told me that they aren’t interested in dealing with those who resell VoIP services, but rather the large corporations that have their own gear.
