DTMF Detection on BroadVoice

#1

Hi all. I’m new to this forum as well as to VoIP, so please forgive my ignorance. I have noticed that a DTMF tone sent via a BroadVoice connection is interpreted by Asterisk 1.0.9 as two key presses. So, if I press 1, then Asterisk sees 11. Does anyone know why? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Here is the sip channel in sip.conf:

[broadvoice]
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
;codec=ulaw
username=X
user=phone
type=peer
secret=Y
nat=no
insecure=very
host=sip.broadvoice.com
fromuser=X
fromdomain=sip.broadvoice.com
dtmfmode=inband
dtmf=inband
context=from-broadvoice
canreinvite=no
authname=X

The problem was with the provider who handles the San Jose numbers per BroadVoice. I got a new number and all is well.
