Disconnecting slow or gone manager session!

Hi

Im Using asterisk 1.2.13 and 70 grandstream phones + isdn 30 line, System works great and no problems except.

Phones are on a seperate network to all the pcs. Asterisk has 2 network cards.

I have a java monitor/addressbook on around 40 of the windows pcs which connects to asterisk via the manager interface. The monitor shows the customer details when the phone rings etc. The problem is at random times during the day I get the following messages and all the manager sessions are disconnected.

== Manager ‘User’ logged off from 192.168.10.14
Aug 3 10:39:26 WARNING[6749]: manager.c:1535 manager_event: Disconnecting slow (or gone) manager session!
== Manager ‘User’ logged off from 192.168.10.15

Aug 3 10:39:26 WARNING[6749]: manager.c:1535 manager_event: Disconnecting slow (or gone) manager session!

Manager.conf
[general]
enabled = yes
port = 5038
bindaddr =192.168.10.210

[User]
secret = mypassword
permit=192.168.10.0/255.255.255.0
read = call,log,verbose,command,agent,user
write = system,call,log,verbose,command,agent,user
writetimeout=150

Any ideas on what I can try

The manager in 1.2 does not like lots of clients and/or connects and disconnects. I suggest you user the one of the Asterisk Manager Proxy solutions which will maintain the connection to asterisk for you and is specifically designed to handle lots of traffic.

I use the AstManProxy and have never had any issues with it.

I believe in 1.4 they made the manager a lot more robust but I havent done a lot of testing of it yet, I am still running 1.2 in my production enveironment and not planning on migration for at least another 4-6 months.
