Disable hfcmulti

Hi
Im using webmin to monitor my server. I got asterisk up and running and dahdi installed. This weekend there was a power out so my server had to start up again. This time my B410p cards lights were off. When i ran dahdi through webmin i got this showing

Loading DAHDI hardware modules: WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/dahdi.blacklist, it will be ignored in a future release. WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/dahdi, it will be ignored in a future release. wcb4xxp: done wctdm: done driver should be 'wcb4xxp' but is actually 'hfcmulti' No hardware timing source found in /proc/dahdi, loading dahdi_dummy Running dahdi_cfg: .
Now the part that says driver should be ‘wcb4xxp’ but is actually ‘hfcmulti’ tells me that the hfcmulti driver is being used. How do i uninstall this or permanently stop hfcmulti from loading?

I know this is old.

But with the latest 2.6.32.5 kernel, with hfcmulti now part of it, which has caused me a lock up on boot.

  • partly my fault, as wcb4xxp wasn’t black listed.

But for others wanting to disable a driver it’s call blacklisting.

in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

in /etc/modprobe.d/dahdi.blacklist.conf makesure the B410P is also blacklisted, as /etc/init.d/dahdi start will lauch it
