Digium Card doestnt detect line hung up


If i call my phone line asterisk picks it up fine but if i hangup it takes the digium card about 30 seconds or so for it to notice that the line has hungup. Could anyone point me in the right direction.



make sure your line is provisioned with ‘disconnect supervision’. Also make sure it is enabled in zapata.conf (type is kewlstart, disconnectsupervision=yes (I think thats the option, might be hanguponpolarityreversal=yes)).

to check your line, plug in a normal analog phone with a backlit keypad (the kind that doesn’t have batteries or anything). Call someone. When they hang up the keypad should go dark for a second. If not call your telco and ask them to give you disconnect supervision.
