Dialplan execution after call file initiates call

I create and execute a call file from dialplan and immediately after that continue with a dial application.

Whatever is happening with the call initiated via the call file (e.g. whether call is answered or not), does that have any influence on how Asterisk continues with the dial plan?

In other words, will dial plan execution continue regardless of the status of the call initiated via call file?

exten => s,1,System(echo -e "Channel: Local/1234@from-internal\\nContext: announcement\\nExtension: s" > /tmp/file.call)
 same => n,System(mv /tmp/file.call /var/spool/asterisk/outgoing/)
 same => n,Dial(SIP/5000)

The dialplan has no idea what the effect of shelling out to the system is, so is completely unaware that you have done something that will cause a call to be generated. The only impact will be the normal contention for resources from any concurrent call.
