Converting analog to Digital (FXO to BRI/PRI)

Hi,

I am new to Asterisk. I have a query whether Asterisk can be used as a simple FXO to BRI/PRI convert or in other words TO convert analog to Digital.

------> FXO card ----->Asterisk---->BRI/PRI card ----->

For the FXO you could use a TDM card from Digium: digium.com/en/products/hardw … gcards.php .
For PRI a TE Digium card: digium.com/en/products/hardw … lcards.php .
For BRI the B410P from Digium: digium.com/en/products/hardw … lcards.php .
You could use PRI/BRI cards from Beronet too: beronet.com, I used a BRI card and it worked well (never used in production environment, only for testing).

Thanks for th reply,
Can also guide me in the configuration.
My requirement is to make Asterisk as a simple gateway to Another IP PBX.
Thats all analog calls coming to Asterisk will be converted to digital PRI/BRI to second IP PBX transparently.

Just configure the * dial plan to route the calls in the appropriate way.
