[context](!)

Hi im new with asterisk 11 and i saw some sample config in sip.conf and other .conf files in [context] there’s (!) after it? what does it mean?

If you then use (context) after another section name, the template is effectivey copied into that section.

Hi David,

you mean the (!) is a label? if i set 1001 and have another context name [1002] i can set the (test) context and it will copy the config?

The third edition of the book seems to use templates without properly explaining them, and none of them actually fully describe what can be done within the ().
