Connecting Asterisk to PSTN

I’m a little confused about how I should configure asterisk. I’m entirely new, so please bear with me.

Right now, I am looking to setup just a simple server to test in my home. I have 6mbps naked DSL line that comes in to my house. I do not have any SIP trunk lines, nor a VoIP provider.

Is there any way to connect Asterisk to allow inbound/outbound calls to be made solely over a high speed dsl line? If not, what type of connection would you recommend?

Is that DSL line also used for regular POTS telephone service? Meaning, do you receive both voice and data across that line?

No…its a naked dsl line…internet only…

Is there a way to have my google voice ring my Asterisk PBX?
