Conference issue - Cisco device with Asterisk

We are trying to use Asterisk for registering Cisco 8945 model phones and configure all possible call features. We are able to successfully register and handle inbound, outbound and transfer calls.

Now we are having issue with conference scenario, the cisco phone shows “Unable to complete conference” message when pressing the conference softkey for completing the conference. While checking the sip capture, I see the REFER packet coming from Phone to Asterisk.

Asterisk version running in PBX server is 11.7.0. Please advise me how can I make this conference feature work.

Your Cisco is likely trying to do server side conferencing which is not supported. The only server side conferencing is to transfer individuals to a ConfBridge conference bridge.
