Comedian Mail brief crackle on connect

Linux Desktop Linphone (ulaw): When I dial the extension for VM there is a “crackle” sound before perfect audio.

Google Pixel 8a Android Linphone (ulaw): When I dial the extension for voicemail (as best I can tell) there is no “crackle” sound but the 1st word, “Comedian,” is muffled and/or reduced in volume. After that brief moment, audio seems perfect.

I have not noticed this on any other connections.

I’d love some suggestions on troubleshooting and/or corrective steps. Thank you very much, in advance!

It can take time for the audio stream to get established, some people place a Playback(silence/1) ahead to give time for it.

Is there a “best practice” to follow?

Or is it more just simple trial-and-error like creating a 1s, 1.5s, 2.0s blank and listening–which sould seem somewhat lacking as it would ultimately be me picking a “fit” then waiting for feedback knowing collecting feedback is an entirely separate challenge!
