Combining T1s

Hi,

On our 4 port card, we have 3 T1s.

On port 1 & 3 are full T1s with dchannel on 24 on each. The rest are bchannels.

On port 2 is 24 b channels that extends the T1 in port 1.

/etc/dahdi/system.conf

span=1,1,0,esf,b8zs
span=2,2,0,esf,b8zs
span=3,3,0,esf,b8zs
bchan=1-23
dchan=24
bchan=25-48
bchan=49-71
dchan=72

The problem is when I call the T1 in port 3, it immediately RELEASE (77) after the CONNECT (7) is sent.
– Channel 3/1, span 3 got hangup, cause 6

I’ve tried a number of things, but I found an old email that mentions to not use spanmap and trunkgroup if you aren’t combining T1s. Is that also the case with the T1 in port 3? Would the following be valid?

chan_dahdi.conf

trunkgroup => 1,24
spanmap => 1,1
spanmap => 2,1,2
channel => 1-23,25-71

I’ve called the telco but they were unable to assist much other than saying that there was no errors since it is provisioned up & active.

Well, I was able to find time to take down the system. Apparently module reload doesn’t cut it.

In any case, the above worked.
