Cisco ATA 186 SIP

Anyone know why the unit will simply stop working after about 24 hours? It works fine if you reboot the unit (not Asterisk) but after about 24 hours you simply do not get any dial tone - OR - the until will pickup an incoming call and simply disconnect without reason. ???


make sure you have the latest firmware for the cisco, and that it is not trying to reprovision itself.
try enabling qualify=yes on *…

I have the latest SIP image and I have added the qualify=yes to each extension. Thanks - I hope this fixes the problem.
