Cisco 7971G-GE registrering with Asterisk Part II

I have posted this query to expert-exchange and alas they are no help hopefully I can find help here. I have read the setup for 79 series phones over and over watched the video setup and still nothing been at this for over two weeks

I have been told its to late for me to return the Cisco 7971G-GE phone and still can not get it to register with my Asterisk box. I have install Tribox, Elastix and from scratch Asterisk and for some reason can not get this to register. when I run asterisk -rvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv nothing comes accross and the screen just goes into a loop a registering with an x through the extension. I have gotten the extension to work with a Softphone and made in and outbound calls. I had to host the tftp server on another box becuase it would not load the devices nor would it allow any machines to transfer files via tftp.

ftp service is running
xinetd.d is configured
this is a two network card machine
