Chanspy mode changing on fly using AMI/ARI

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to use chanspy, but I am having trouble changing the spy channel mode between listening, whispering, or barging.

When I first start spying on a channel (listening, whispering, or barging) using the supervisor’s extension, it works well. I can send the DTMF codes—4 for listen, 5 for whisper, and 6 for barge—from the supervisor’s soft phone, and it changes the mode correctly.

I want to know if I can change the mode on the fly using AMI or ARI. First, is it possible to do this? If it is, please guide me on how to do it. If you can share any documents or forums to help me understand it better, that would be great.

There is no ability to do so that I’m aware of.

Couldn’t you use the Receive option on AMI PlayDTMF, to fake the supervisor using the DTMF code?

I tried the below method and supervisor is able to hear dmtf tone but mode is not changing.

Action: PlayDTMF
Channel: PJSIP/103-00000010
Digit: 5
Duration: 100

Response: Success
Message: DTMF successfully queued
