Changing Call-ID format

Hi All,
For a project, I need to change the CALL-ID format that Asterisk is generating randomly.
Asterisk currently is generating something like 70a7a2745922232d07bba07a722157034@10.10.10.10:5060
I need it to be generated like 70a7a2745922232d07bba07a722157034@mydomain.com
or like 70a7a2745922232d07bba07a722157034@anytext

Asterisk version is 1.8

Is this something possible?

Setting fromdomain should achieve this although it will also affect the domain used in the From header, and maybe other places.
