chan_zap ignoring zapata.conf variables

Hello,

I have installed the asterisk and zaptel successfully. I runs well.

I am using this in INDIA, and want to give answeronpolarity. As we know, as soon as ring starts asterisk assumes that the zap channel is answered but it’s not the actual thing here.

After some search i found that i need to enable answeronplarityswitch in zapata.conf, i do so… but now chan_zap gives the strange warnings like…

== Parsing ‘/etc/asterisk/zapata.conf’: Found
[Jan 4 13:50:53] WARNING[9768]: chan_zap.c:11067 process_zap: Ignoring switchtype
[Jan 4 13:50:53] WARNING[9768]: chan_zap.c:11067 process_zap: Ignoring signalling
[Jan 4 13:50:53] WARNING[9768]: chan_zap.c:11067 process_zap: Ignoring rxwink
[Jan 4 13:50:53] WARNING[9768]: chan_zap.c:11067 process_zap: Ignoring answeronpolarityswitch
[Jan 4 13:50:53] WARNING[9768]: chan_zap.c:11067 process_zap: Ignoring hanguponpolarityswitch
– Reconfigured channel 1, FXS Kewlstart signalling

I guess, it is not considering this answeronpolarityswitch=yes, and even it is not applying it while making a call… Can anyone please tell me what’s the resion behind this or is this a bug?

Please guide me to solve this problem.

Regards,

Jigar Thakkar.

is your telco giving answer supervision ? it seems that very few do. you might want to check with them first.
