Hello

I want to know wich option is better, using telephony cards or gateways, for analog, digital or cellular telephony.

A gateway is more expensive and harder to configure, but it lets you use your T1,etc. lines on more than one server. This is handy for building up a new server, testing server, or whatever. It also lets you build up two servers in a cluster for high availability. The other trade off is that your traffic is more prone to network issues because the server sends the traffic over your local network to your gateway. On the other hand, it lets you place your server physically distant from your incoming lines.
