Cant transfer on Polycom

This is on a Polycom 550. Yes ive googled and everything else…

When I try to transfer from 1137, to 1130 i get this in the cli:

– Started music on hold, class ‘default’, on IAX2/pbxlasolas-3
[Mar 13 09:12:35] NOTICE[4817]: chan_sip.c:13794 handle_request_invite: Failed to authenticate user “1137” sip:1137@pbx.myasteriskserver.com;tag=3C140B00-5BDC1887

Im not sure why it says failed to authenticate user “1137”
?

1137 and 1130 are both internal sip phones.

This may help point you in the right direction:
I have had the same problem. This is for the newer firmware from Polycom. I did a dump of the communication from the phone to the PBX and found that there was only 2 digits being sent to the PBX.

I have tried without results to see if Polycom could fix this issue. They asked for all the info I could provide, which I did, and they just closed the ticket I opened with them.

Good luck!

How do I do teh dump from the phone to the pbx?

thanks

I have a managed switch. In that switch I mirrored the port the phone is plugged into. That mirroring I setup was to the port that my PC is on. On my PC, I used a program called wireshark.

If you don’t have a managed switch, you need to find a HUB (not a switch – big difference) Then plug your uplink, phone and pc into it. Then run wireshark.

**Wireshark is a packet sniffer that will grab the entire conversation between your phone and PBX.

Hope this helps

Hi

Easy way is to enter :

tcpdump -n -i eth0 -w /tmp/wireshark.pcap -s 2000 udp port 5060

and then copy the output to a machine that will have wireshark on it
