Can't find 'Dial Reference' Doc

I am having problems creating a dial plan in ‘Extensions.conf’. I am looking for the ‘Dial Referance’ documentation that is referred to in “The Asterisk Handbook v.2”, paragraph 4.3.2.

I need this reference to understand what I am doing with the config files.

Can anyone point me in the wright direction?

No. but thanks for pointing this out to me though.
I’m looking for the command set and syntax for the .config files themselves.

What I have been looking for is a piece of document called “Dial Referance” that is pointed to in the Asterisk Handbook but not in it.

I have just been looking through the O’reilly book on line and the appendixes have all the Functions’ definitions. I hope that chapter 5 & 6 give me the understanding of Syntax structure that I need.
