I’d like to know if I could use SIP for variable exchange with my end devices. I’d like to get information about the devices’ state (CPU usage,…). I’ve been looking around and read about different event packages and so on, but I’m afraid that’s not enough information…
Can I use SIP packets to add some variables that I’d use for management?
If yes, how could I implement it?

Why would you want to use a telephony protocol for device monitoring and management???
Protocols SNMP and TR069 are much more suited for this purpose.
Okay, forget about monitoring,… but anyway, is that possible?
