Does anyone know how to translate an incoming number and send it directly to a voice mailbox. I want to have someone forward their outside line to my system (only have 1 did) and then have it send directly to voicemail. I’m guessing I may need a second did?

One more thing to add…I’d like to have someone press an option on the call handler when they come into my auto attendant from the main number. I would like this option to send them to *98 voicemail.

When the call is presented to you do you get the cli of the caller or the number being diverted

If you get the number that is being diverted then you dont have a problem. You can send to the VM based on the caller ID. However I doubt that you are getting the CID of the number called. Your only other option is to get multiple DID’s. If you are dealing in volume and you are not using a lot of minutes I am sure you can get it whole sale. I believe you can get whole sale DID’s at about $1.75 per DID from myphonecompany.com
Yeah, found out today I can pickup additional did’s for a couple of dollars a month. Once I add the second did how would I go about directing it to voice mail…*98.
