Busy signal on a PAP2 with server on public ip

#1

Hello,

I’ve been fighting with this for hours now, I installed * on my dedicated server so I could set up voip access from anywhere… but when I connect to the server with the pap2 I just get a busy signal as soon as I press any number…

The debug logs show that it’s connected and I have an install of A@H working fine… i guess the only difference is that the pap2 is natted from one end. The server where * is installed has a public ip.

It’s also connecting to call pacet with out any problem and will pick up the incomming calls but directly fowards them to the voice mail of the extention that i’m trying to set up.

i’ve been searching for hours on this and haven’t come up with anything…

Okay, here’s an update, I’ve set up anothe pap2 from a different location and I do get a dial tone and am able to dial out but can’t get it to dial in…

It looks like the pap2 registers fine… I’ve rtfm and been browsing this forum and voip-info all day…

Any help would be greatly appreciated…

The logs show that the pap2 is registering but I can’t figure out why it’s still detecting it as busy… Anybody know what ports should be allowed in the firewall for Asterisk to work?

Would it help if I set up a sip proxy on my server?

It looks like it doesn’t work when i set the nat=route … but it does when i set it to nat=yes …

But still same issues…
