Blocking transfers but allowing direct calls to an extension

Is it possible to allow phones to dial an extension directly, but disallow or redirect calls that are transfered to that extension?

I have overhead paging set up with several phones set up for SIPAddHeader(Alert-Info: Ring Answer). Unfortunately, sometimes users will accidentally transfer calls to the paging extension instead of the parking extension at which time it becomes a free for all of which phone will pick it up and answer the call over speakerphone. I’m running Asterisk 1.4.14 with mostly Polycom IP550s and a few Grandstreams.

Any ideas? Replacing all of my users with robots who don’t make mistakes isn’t a viable option right now :unamused:

Thanks for any help!

I don’t know if you can disable it (I am sure you can from source). If you want to protect paging you can set up an extension where they call in to it to page. They record their page and press # to send it out. This way if they transfer it to the page extension by accident it wont go out (But they may loose the call  ). You can also make them enter a code to page, if the code is not entered have the call go back some where else.
