When I use any softphone my calls take a normal amount of time, less thna 5 seconds. However, when I use my analog phone connected to a Linksys ATA any call takes more than 15 seconds!!

this exact thing was discussed here a few weeks ago. Search for it.
Look in the dial string on the ATA, that is where the problem lies, you just have to modify it.
It takes less than 5 seconds now, thanks a lot !!!
