Asterisk with XenDesktop

Hi Experts,

Can someone comment if asterisk can work with XenDesktop Virtual Environment. I have a customer who is looking for Desktop Virtualization but uses Asterisk Softphones and Asterisk Server software on Linux.

Need to understand if asterisk end users connect or is mapped to IP or to user ID. I am also looking at integrating with XenApp (Hosted Server Desktop - Server 2008).

Running Asterisk on a VM is not advisable, because it is difficult to make them provide accurate timing and provide scheduling latencies of under 20ms, however, it is possible, unless you need to use real hardware, such as PCI line cards.
