is it a permissions issue?

Also, one of your errors is about amd.conf and not the music on hold file:

[Aug 5 22:04:39] ERROR[12949] app_amd.c: Configuration file amd.conf missing.

Hello, Thnak you for the response

I do not see a amd.conf even in the backups and system has been functional for a long time.

Howwever I did find a app_amd.c in /usr/src/1.4/asterisk-1.4.15/apps/app_amd.c /usr/src/asterisk-1.4.21.1/apps/app_amd.c

The permissions on the other file are as follows
ls -la /etc/asterisk/musiconhold_custom.conf
-rwxrwxr-x 1 nobody nobody 442 Apr 25 2007 /etc/asterisk/musiconhold_custom.conf*
