Good Day All, I have the need to send SMS using asterisk. I am trying to hash out what the solution would look like. So far as I understand it I would need a 3rd party SMS gateway connected to the server that would connect (for a fee from a service provider) to the various cell networks. Am I right? Any suggestions on equipment / service providers? Thanks!! P.S. This is a pure IP system no DAHDI interfaces, hence the need for an SMS gateway device. (I think 😉 ---

Hello. I have just signed up with Clickatell [http://www.clickatell.com](http://www.clickatell.com) and use their gateway to send an SMS via an AGI script to send alerts about voicemail. So far, so good! Ian ---
