I’d be surprised if anyone had tried.
Does it provide accurate timing at the 20ms level. That is what tends to break Asterisk in any sort of virtual environment…
Looking at wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide, it doesn’t look like it isn’t a VM. It looks as though, once booted, it a real native LInux, but that is only on a one minute’s skim of the above page. The one possible fudge is that it may implement a Linux filesystem on top of a Windows file, but Asterisk doesn’t do anything strange with files that would reveal that deception.
