Asterisk over a Wubi Installation

Hello!!

I need to know if it is possible to install Asterisk 11 over a Ubuntu Wubi (Ubuntu INSIDE windows) installation, for learning and practicing purposes only.

Kind regards,
Violetta

I’d be surprised if anyone had tried.

Does it provide accurate timing at the 20ms level. That is what tends to break Asterisk in any sort of virtual environment…

Looking at wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide, it doesn’t look like it isn’t a VM. It looks as though, once booted, it a real native LInux, but that is only on a one minute’s skim of the above page. The one possible fudge is that it may implement a Linux filesystem on top of a Windows file, but Asterisk doesn’t do anything strange with files that would reveal that deception.
