Asterisk is not capable of digest auth

HI,

I am trying to make an outgoing call to a PortaOne setup. This uses SER SIP proxy. THe error I am getting is

“UA not capable of digest auth”

Has anyone come accross this problem or knows what needs to be done. I am using asterisk 1.0.9 with AMP.
