# Asterisk Installation

We are in the process of installing Asterisk 1.4.18. We would like to know the procedure for registering H.323 softphone (SJPhone) on Asterisk.

Hi,

I have never installed Asterisk with H323 support but read an apparently useful article on how to compile asterisk with 0H323 support in [astrecipes.net](http://astrecipes.net)

Maybe you’d like to read it too.
