Is it normal to start getting higher dropped packets caused by higher call load even when not associated with any hardware resource constraints like cpu or network bandwidth congestion

Thanks,

@rparkersa,
Of course this behaviour is not normal. However, if you want to get any valuable help from the community, you should provide the details of your environment and issue being observed:

- Which Asterisk version you are running, what kind of hardware / virtual machine you have
- What is the quantitative value of “higher call load”
- Do you observe any errors in asterisk and OS logs etc.

Wild guess: your network equipment or Internet connection might become overloaded
