Is there a driver or some piece of software built into Asterisk that provides SS7 to SIP conversion? For example, a call from a local exchange subscriber sent over an SS7 trunk to a SIP phone attached to Asterisk. Some SS7 to SIP translation has to occur within Asterisk, correct?. I read somewhere that chan_ss7 is involved or performs this functionality, is that correct?
