Asterisk and Genesys

Sorry if this is a newbie question, but I still new to Asterisk and SIP, yet old to Genesys and TDM. I am trying to determine if Asterisk is compatible with Genesys suites, if I use Genesys’ sip server and Asterisk as a SIP media gateway?

We are looking at integrating an Asterisk solution here at work, and have access to Genesys software at a partner level.
