Asterisk, Analog phone, USB Webcam

Hi!

Can anyone PLEASE help me (counsel) with one thing in Asterisk.

I have Digium card TDM400P and Asterisk 1.2.1 and i’m runing SuSe 9.3.
I have successfully connected analog phone to my PC. I can make PSTN outband calls and SIP calls between two rooms (local network) . No problem with that.

But i would like to do: connect Webcam (usb) to PC where asterisk is installed, and make SIP video call with my webcam and analog phone to PC in the other room with softphone installed on it.
Is this possible? ( or maybe IP camera it would be much better instead of webcam)

Thanx

Regards,
Marin

I think that what you are trying to do is possible but would end up being two different calls in progress.

You may find that lip-synch will be terrible, and you’ll have to have two instances of VOIP phone running on the system you are calling. (One for the video call, and one for the analog phone call.)

Unless your webcam software can see the FXS port as an audio source, I think this is how it’s going to end up.
