Until we get to a robust load balancing scenario using kamailio, just wanted to pick your brains on if we could use an active - passive load balancing of asterisk server. Can we monitor the ec2 instance to see if asterisk is running and switch over to passive one if it isn’t? Are there any other health related metrics we should be monitoring like CPU usage etc? I understand that there might be more complex scenarios involved like asterisk running but calls not flowing through etc as per high availability design document on voip.info.org, which will need a solution similar to using kamailio.
