Asterisk 1.8 SPA3102 dahdi won't start

I’m trying to set up Asterisk 1.8 on OpenSUSE 11.3 to work with a Cisco SPA3102. However, when I try to start Asterisk, it complains about a dahdi error. When I enter service dahdi start, I get an error message:

firewall:~ # service dahdi start
Loading DAHDI hardware modules:
wct4xxp: error wcte12xp: error wct1xxp: error wcte11xp: error wctdm24xxp: error wcfxo: error wctdm: error wcb4xxp: error wctc4xxp: error xpp_usb: error
Error: missing /dev/dahdi!

Also, there is no /etc/dahdi directory.

What am I missing. Also, while I have experience with VoIP PBX, this is my first attempt with Asterisk.

tnx jk

DAHDI likely wasn’t installed correctly.

What’s the Asterisk CLI error?

If you’d like Asterisk to ignore DAHDI, then you can add:

noload => chan_dahdi.so

to the:

/etc/asterisk/modules.conf

file.

Cheers.
