Is there a CDR documentation for Asterisk 1.8 like “asterisk 12 CDR specification”. i.e a detail explanation of the scenarios and their corresponding CDR records. Any helpful Suggestion is well appreciated thank you.
No. It was because 1.8 and earlier cases didn’t behave well in complex cases that there was a rework of CDRs. Originally Channel Event Logging was introduced as the preferred alternative for such cases. I’m not sure if they decided that people weren’t taking that up and tried to improve CDRs or they still advise CELs for complex cases.
