Asterfax not dialing with Sipura 3000

I successfuly installed AsterFax on my Asterisk 1.2.6
I use the version beta7, to avoid the use of the app_txfax.so patched since it produce my Asterisk hungs.
After the installation I tried to use it.
Conversion was good.
The .call file was created.
The Channel take the line, I can see it in FOP and in the Asterisk console.
The problem is the FXO is not dialing, so the fax is not finally delivered.

This happen with a SIPURA 3000 where I have my FXO port.
I tried with a SIP Channel (Broadvoice) and the behaivor is different, Asterisk takes the channel and dial the number included in the “From:” field of the mail.
My conclusion is, for any strange reason, the SPA-3000 is not receiving the info to dial, the CLI show me the right info SIP/2101/42951111.
SIP/2101 is the FXO Cahnnel of my Sipura.
Anyone can Help?

Thanks

There can be a number of reasons why this may be the case. It could be that you do not have a valid Sipura 3000 dial plan for the PSTN line. It could be your Sipura is not registered to Asterisk. It could be something else.

  1. if you go to your PSTN LINE what is the PSTN Default DP? and what does it look like?

  2. What does sip show peers look like?

  3. Can you dial out at all via the FXO?

If you have the above correct you should be able to dial out and reach the outside world. If not then there is something wrong with your base configuration somewhere. It could be your Sipura 3000 settings, it could be your sip.conf or it could be your extensions.conf.

I have found the Sipura 3000 easy to set up once I understood about it needing a ‘dial plan’ for outgoing (note this is not an extensions.conf dial plan).

OK, very good points and sorry to generate this confusion.
I have my SPA-3000 working with Asterisk.
I can dial and receive calls when I’m doing through the phone.

My problem is only with AsterFax.
AsterFax, asking to put a Channel in their config file.
I’m using “SIP/2101” which is my Sipura Channel used to dial out.
I can see AsterFax sending "SIP/2101/"number-to-dial"
But there is no dialing option.
I don’t know why.
On the other hand if I’m using Broadvoice, I change my channel to "SIP/bv"
and the system dialing and try to connect with the remote Fax.

I have no idea how to fix it.
Thanks for your help

try using using something like:

Local/@from-internal/n

with the apropriate context so that it dials exactly like an internal extension would and see if it still has the problem.

Thanks p_lindheimer,
I did it, and it dials internally.
My problem is to make Asterfax dialing in a trunk.

If I use “SIP/bv” it takes the trunk and dial.
If I use “SIP/2101” it take the trunk and not dial the number.

I’m lost, I’m sure it is something easy to fix, but I’m not able to fix it. :frowning:
