ARI events consumption on First come first served basis

I have 2 Stasis Apps (for redundancy) subscribed for events to one Asterisk server. Now when I send DTMF both my apps consume same event and trying to process it.

Is there a way to configure events in Asterisk to be consumed only once on first come first served basis?

No, there is no such configuration ability. Each application gets the events it is subscribed to.
